Transportation Research in Partnership with Rivanna Trails Foundation Albemarle, VA
The Three Notched Trail (TNT) is a trail intervention project with the goal to “create a scenic and safe walking and biking route from the Rivanna River near Monticello to the Blue Ridge Mountains, following the path of the historic Three Notched Road”.
The proposal suggests development of segments of independent utility that can be joined together in phases to create an interconnected trail system over time. The report provides methods of analysis for determining potential locations where segments of independent utility could be implemented.
